As a former church employee, I think I struggle with this a little too much...and after experiencing a church split (something I didn't even know existed!) 2 years ago, I'm more than a little scarred, I think.
When we know all Pastors are broken people and won't be perfect, how does a family decide where to go? Is it truly the lesser of all the evils?
Is it acceptable not to attend church for a time?
What criteria does a family raised in denominational church use to seek out a non-denominational church now?
I struggle with my human desire for good music (that isn't TOO loud), expository, applicable preaching, and people seeking real community - warts & all.
